CTW Teachers
Bunny Lawson
Ms. Lawson graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts
in New York, with a degree in theatre. She is a member of Actor's Equity
and has performed professionally in New York, Ohio, Florida, New Hampshire,
Connecticut, and Massachusetts. She has taught children's theatre in Michigan,
New Hampshire, Ohio, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Missouri; as well as
here in California. She founded the Children's Theatre Workshop in 1981,
where she oversees classes for upwards of 75 students aged 5 to 15 each
semester. Bunny serves on the Volunteer Network for the Saddleback School
District, giving drama experience to local students. She recently directed "Tom Sawyer", "Cinderella", and "Peter Pan" for
the City of Irvine's 'Kids For Kids Theatre'.
Valeri Liebig
Valeri Liebig was recently seen in Brown Bag Players production
of "The Princess and the Pea" and also as "Snow White" in
our production of the same name. A few of Valeri's theater credits include
Adelaide in "Guys and Dolls", Bonnie in "Anything Goes",
and Lucy in "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown". She has also been
involved with Disney and the city of Anaheim in an educational film about
the environment. Valeri's commercial credits include a spot for Nintendo
Power Magazine. Before having her son, Valeri was overseeing the Youth for
Arts program at Campfire USA; offering acting, music, dance, and other arts
classes to the children and teens in Orange County. Valeri also directs
the theater ministry at Searidge Community Church in Irvine. Valeri's training
includes study at the adult conservatory at South Coast Repertory.
Roni Jacobson
A past student at CTW, Ms. Jacobson has been teaching our pre-teen
and teen classes since 1996 and performs with Brown Bag Players.
She is currently appearing in "Joey and Maria's Comedy Italian Wedding" in Anaheim and "Joey and Maria's 25th Anniversary Party" in
San Diego. Roni received her MBA from Pepperdine University
in 1999.
Marina Tagger
Ms. was Stage Manager for BBP production of "The Princess
and the Pea". She was recently seen as Pico in "Aladdin".
She has an extensive background in theatre. Marina has acted, directed,
and stage-managed a variety of plays. She was last seen portraying
Mrs. Mirchutkin
in the production of the "Anniversary" and Lizzy Borden in "Blood
Relations". She has directed a variety of plays including school productions
and interactive theatre. Marina has a B.Ed from the University
of Manitoba, Canada, where she majored in biology and double major/minored
in theatre.
She serves on the CTW Board of Directors, and is Teacher of the
CTW class for 5 - 6 year olds. In the Special Summer Class she
will be teaching 5 and 6 year olds.
