Children's Theatre Workshop (CTW) is a non-profit, community-oriented organization offering creative dramatics to children in the Saddleback Valley area. Children's Theatre Workshop has been providing interactive theatre opportunities for young people ages 5 through 16 since 1981. The fundamental mission of CTW is to let children experience dramatics that enhance their self-esteem and reward them for their creativity.

In addition to regular class sessions, CTW is available for workshop sessions and performances on television, in churches, libraries, parks, theatres, and private homes.

Classes are offered Mondays and Tuesdays from 4:00 - 6:00 pm, for ten weeks, each Fall and Spring. The regular classes are offered in cooperation with the program of the Saddleback Valley Recreation Department and are held at Mount of Olives Lutheran Church on Chrisanta Drive in Mission Viejo.

Each semester of classes is followed by a series of productions. In the Fall we offer our "Potpourri of Entertainment," while the Spring semester has a full production of short plays and one-acts. All productions are held at the Church, where, in addition to classroom space, the facilities include a stage with lighting and sound systems. Scenery, costumes, and makeup are used for the productions.

To apply for a class, you can send us an e-mail, call the Director, Bunny Lawson at (949) 581-5402. You can also visit the Saddleback Valley Recreation Dept. office at 25631 Diseno Drive, off Jeronimo or call the office at (949) 586-1234, Ext. 293. The fee for each 10-week session is $90, payable at time of registration. Parents are responsible for all costumes, when and if they are needed.
